These advanced smart glasses integrate the capabilities of Google’s Gemini AI, offering features like memory retention, real-time interaction, and much more.

A Glimpse Into Google’s AI Vision

The AI-powered glasses, resembling regular prescription eyewear, are packed with cutting-edge technology. Equipped with cameras, speakers, and a screen, the glasses allow Gemini to visually process the environment and interact seamlessly with users. During the live demo, Gemini showcased an impressive ability to analyze what the user sees and respond in real time, even creating a haiku inspired by the expressions of the surrounding audience.

One standout feature is the memory capability. Gemini can recall objects and visual information for up to ten minutes, even when the object leaves the visual field. This builds on the memory functionality first introduced in Google’s past Project Astra.

Expanding the Scope of Gemini

Google’s Gemini continues to evolve. Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind, hinted in a separate interview that the AI’s memory features could soon extend to the Gemini Live feature. Currently, Gemini supports two-way voice interaction and video feed analysis but may soon include enhanced memory functions. Additionally, the AI glasses are expected to offer practical tasks such as assisting with online shopping or performing real-world functions based on user input.
